The Nigeria Higher Education Foundation (NHEF) Graduate Doctors Program is a leadership and capacity development initiative designed for post-housemanship doctors who have just completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and are now transitioning into full professional practice. Through a curated and immersive learning experience, participants gain the knowledge, perspective, and networks needed to navigate Nigeria’s evolving healthcare landscape and position themselves for meaningful, long-term impact. The program seeks to cultivate a new generation of medical professionals equipped with the competence, resilience, leadership capacity, and commitment to advance healthcare in Nigeria.

Eligibility: This program is available exclusively to graduate medical doctors from NHEF Partner Universities – Ahmadu Bello University, Bayero University Kano, University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and University of Port Harcourt. Applicant must have completed housemanship and NYSC.

Orientation Timeline: Tuesday, July 7 to Saturday, July 11, 2025.
Location: Lagos State.
Date of Arrival: Tuesday, July 7.
Date of Departure: Sunday, July 12.
