NHEF Launches Applications for the 2026 Faculty Program

The Nigeria Higher Education Foundation (NHEF) is pleased to announce the official launch of applications for the 2026 NHEF Faculty Program, a premier capacity development initiative designed to equip Nigerian university faculty and administrators with the tools, strategic insight, and innovation capacity required to compete globally, lead institutional transformation, and enhance student learning outcomes.

The NHEF Faculty Program is a strategic investment in institutional leadership across Nigeria’s higher education sector. Through immersive workshops, applied institutional analysis, and structured implementation planning, the program develops participants’ competence in modern pedagogy, research-funding readiness, systems-level thinking, leadership effectiveness, and measurable institutional impact.

 

WHO SHOULD APPLY
The program is exclusively open to faculty members and administrators from NHEF Partner Universities:

  • UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN
  • UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS
  • UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA
  • UNIVERSITY OF PORT HARCOURT


APPLICANTS MUST DEMONSTRATE

  • Institutional leadership potential
  • Strong understanding of systemic higher education challenges
  • Commitment to measurable reform within their institutions
  • Capacity for strategic thinking and execution


Selection into the program is merit-based and highly competitive. Applicants are encouraged to respond to all application questions thoughtfully and comprehensively.
